Today, my husband and I had a little tteokbokki date. Our 떡볶이 came bubbling hot in a 뚝배기 — a Korean earthenware pot. Tteokbokki is one of Korea’s most popular 분식 foods. 「와, 진짜 맛있다!」 We kept eating… and in the end we 싹싹 긁어먹었어요 — scraped the pot clean. Not a fancy date. Just hot tteokbokki and the two of us.
